Well hello there wild one! When mom told me she wanted to do a special where the wild things are first birthday photo session for her son, I was so excited! Mom provided this adorable little tee-pee and pennant and made the costume herself by sewing those beautiful brown buttons onto a onesie she found on amazon. ( I mean, what can't you find on Amazon?). The crown and tail were purchased on Etsy. We took these first birthday photos right in their backyard in Wells Maine.
My favorite part about this session? Dad has assigned unique personalities to each one of the birthday boy's toys and each has their own voice. The entire session mom and dad sat behind me putting on an amazing production with his toy dinosaurs. I was seriously impressed!
That very night in Max's room a forest grew.
and grew until his ceiling hung with vines and the walls became the world all around.
They made him king of all wild things.
Look at his sweet face- I melted when I edited this image.
An now cried Max, let the wild rumpus start!
Mom pulled out this delicious strawberry shortcake and we couldn't wait to see his reaction. After all, it was his first taste of cake.
He wasn't quite sure what to make of it but we said "Dig in!"
Once he licked the frosting from his fingers he knew what he had to do.
This is how I eat cake when no one's looking.
Happy birthday Wild Thing! Thank you so much for selecting me to be your Southern Maine Cake Smash Photographer! I enjoyed every minute of this photo session! <3
