These portrait sessions on the beach can be so fun especially when you embrace the wind blown hair and the sandy feet. One thing I've learned is that the beach is not where you go when you want a "perfect" photo. There are just too many factors that will work against you.
But if you want a carefree and candid look to your gallery the beach might just be the right choice.

I love how natural this image looks. She's full of life, movement and energy! A bit untraditional for a senior portrait session but as a Maine Senior portrait photographer, I'm always drawn to images that feel more authentic and candid. No she did come running over to me laughing on her own- we staged it, but it feels because who can't help but laugh and feel silly when asked to do this for the camera?
